Kácov

The town Kácov, with 800 inhabitants is spread in picturesque nature of Posázaví close to Kutná Hora. First mention of this town trades back to 1318. Apart from historical monuments, it offers wide cultural activities and is a popular destination mainly during the summer months. Kácov is also knows thanks to the „Posázavský pacifik“ railway, automotive veteran rally and became famous also because of the traditional fair and music festival Sázavafest.

Castle Kácov

The baroque castle built in the middle of the 15 th century is one of the dominant features of Kácov. The present look was given to it by Anna Marie Františka Toskánská. This monument nowadays serves as a museum, gallery and offers its facilities for cultural events. Visitors can enjoy a commented tour or a visit in the newly reconstructed castle chapel.

Brewery Kácov

One of the olders breweries in the republic was founded in 1457. Eight kinds of Hubertus beer are made here with the use of classical technology from ingredients of the highest quality. Its contemporary history trades back to 2001. The brewery was technologically and construction-wise rebuilt, however it still remains in the original spot. Tours of the brewery can be arranged on previous notice.

Český Šternberk

National cultural heritage of the Czech republic, the gothic caste český Šternberk is 18km away from Panorama Golf Resort. This sight, built in 1241 still remains after 20 generations in the hands of its founder – the Sternberg family. The cultural life at the caste is diverse, visitors can enjoy not only classical guided tours, but also walks and cycling tours around the castle or visit the dungeon. Magical place surrounded by historical legends will definitely please even more demanding visitors.

Monastery Sázava

Another national cultural heritage sites can be found only 25km away from Kácov. The complex of buildings of the historical monastery, founded by St. Procopius in the 11 th century is a popular destination. The tour of the monastery also includes a visit of pilgrimage sites connected to St. Procopius. Apart from the guided tour, you can also visit the adjacent gardens or other cultural events that are regularly organized here.

Glass Art Center - Glasswork František

The Glass Art Center and the original renovated Glassworks František from 1835 are located in the newly reconstructed part of the town Sázava. Its aim is to preserve the Czech tradition of glass manufacture. The Glass Art Center offers glass workshops, various expositions of glass products, a gallery and other cultural events.

Kutná Hora

Kutná Hora is a beautiful historical city in Central Bohemia, a significant heritage site, only 40mins away from Kácov. Thanks to silver mining, it was one of the most significant Czech royal towns in the Middle Ages. The historical centre of the city, together with the Cathedral of St. Barbara and the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist in Sedlec are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is also worth visiting the Czech museum of silver and the Middle Ages Mine.

Zruč nad Sázavou

The history of the manor in Zruč most probably dates back to the beginning of the peak of Middle Ages. Nowadays, the caste provides facilities for the town hall, castle gallery and the south wing is open to the public. You will also find an educational trail, summer cinema and canoeing museum on site. The Kolowrat tower in the vicinity of the castle is offers a lookout with interactive entertainment for children on each floor.
